Courgettes exciting? I used to think anyone who got excited by courgettes was a proper saddo but there you go, we all turn into saddos one day. I just never thought the day would come quite this soon but that day is here. Yes!!! I am excited by large green vegetables – and all because of this big lump of a courgette!
I have tried to let one or two of them grow big before but I never succeeded as some ‘creature’ or ‘creatures’ (don’t want to think about what kind of creature – but I prefer the cute ones) always came along and either gave it a slow death by nibbling, or savaged the whole thing at once.
Either way, I never managed to make a marrow out of a courgette. Until now – how sad is that?
